3D measuring machine

An instrument that measures the surface of an object by contacting it with a probe or scanning it with a non-contact sensor to obtain X, Y, and Z coordinate values, which are then used to calculate the object’s geometric shape, position, and orientation.

Non-contact surface roughness measuring instrument

Using laser or optical sensors, it analyzes the fine irregularities of a surface in three dimensions, quickly obtaining roughness values such as Ra, Rz, and Ry without physical contact, which are typically measured by contact-type instruments.

Contact surface roughness measuring instrument

An instrument that directly traces the surface of an object to detect height variations (irregularities) and quantitatively evaluates the surface roughness based on those measurements.
